
Ong’onge Allan is a Communications Officer at the Directorate of Information Advocacy and Communication, Nuclear Power and Energy Agency (NuPEA) and an active member of the Recruitment and Communication Committee at the Nuclear Society of Kenya.
He is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Development Studies with a focus on Project Management, with a degree in the same. Allan has over 10 years of diverse experience, ranging from the private sector to government, with a specialization in Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation, and Development Studies.
At NuPEA, Allan is responsible for creating and executing strategic communication campaigns to enhance public awareness and stakeholder engagement for Kenya’s Nuclear Power Programme. His work involves public education, media relations, and stakeholder forums that support the agency’s mandate of advancing nuclear energy as a sustainable solution for Kenya’s energy future.
A member of Public Relations Society of Kenya, Development Studies Association, and Evaluation Society of Kenya. Allan has previously led civic education campaigns with CENEK and IFCA. He is passionate about ensuring development projects are aligned with global and national agendas such as the SDGs, Climate Change Action Plans, and Integrated Development, believing that these efforts should benefit all citizens. Allan envisions a future where Kenya achieves energy sufficiency through Nuclear, Hydro, Geothermal, Solar, and Wind power, reducing air pollution and fostering social well-being, equity, and economic progress. He sees nuclear energy as a key pathway to achieving this vision.
